• What is Nua?+

Nua is an astrology and numerology app for iPhone. It calculates your birth chart from your date, time and place of birth, reads the numbers in your birth date, and gives you a daily forecast, your life periods and in-depth readings: birth chart, destiny matrix and compatibility.

• What is a birth chart?+

A birth chart, or natal chart, is a map of the sky at the exact minute and place you were born: where the Sun, Moon and planets stood, in which signs and houses, and at what angles to each other. Astrology reads it as a map of your temperament, strengths and the themes your life keeps returning to.

• What is the destiny matrix?+

The destiny matrix is a numerology system that turns your date of birth into a chart of the 22 major arcana of the tarot, set out as an eight-pointed star. Each point stands for one area of life, from character and love to money, purpose and family. It needs only your date of birth.

• What is the difference between a birth chart and a destiny matrix?+

A birth chart is astronomy: it needs your date, time and place of birth and reads the real positions of the planets. A destiny matrix is numerology: it needs only the date and reads it through the tarot arcana. They describe the same person from two sides, which is why Nua has both.

• What is in the Nua birth chart reading?+

Ten chapters built from 60 calculated factors: ten planets in their signs and houses, the four angles, Chiron, Lilith, the lunar nodes and every major aspect between them. It starts with your portrait and what is rare in your chart, and ends with a summary of the whole. Every line traces back to your own chart.

• What is in the Nua destiny matrix reading?+

Eight sections: your character, comfort zone, relationships, money and career, purpose, family line and karmic tail, the period you are in now with a year-by-year timeline to age 80, and a summary. Each point of your matrix is explained for you, not just named.

• How does compatibility work in Nua?+

Nua lays two birth charts over each other and measures the angles between your planets and theirs, from the Sun and Moon to Venus and Mars. It adds the destiny matrix arcana of the pair and your life path numbers, then shows where the bond flows, where it grinds and where it is heading. It works for love, friendship and business.

• Do I need my exact birth time?+

No, though it adds a lot. Without it the signs of your planets are still exact, and the destiny matrix needs only your date. What a birth time adds is your rising sign and houses, the parts of the chart that change every few minutes, and Nua leaves those out rather than guessing them.

• Is Nua free?+

Nua is free to download, and your birth chart is calculated at no cost. The daily forecast, the sky's events like eclipses and retrogrades, and the phrase of the day stay free every day. Nua Premium opens the Moon, Work and Love cards and your personal transits, and the three readings are one-off purchases.

• How does the subscription work, and how do I cancel it?+

Nua Premium is weekly, monthly, three-monthly or yearly, and the price is shown in the App Store before you pay. There is no free trial. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Nua and tap Cancel Subscription. Premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

• Is Nua a horoscope app?+

Partly. The main card of the day is written for your sun sign, like a horoscope, and the sign horoscopes on this site come from the same source. Everything else starts from your exact date, time and place of birth, so your personal transits, life periods and readings are yours, not your sign's.

• Is Nua written by AI?+

The astrology is always calculated, never generated. Most of every reading comes from a library of texts written for each placement and combination, and a few passages, like your portrait and your current period, are written by a language model from your calculated chart. It is not allowed to invent a placement or an aspect.

• Do I have to believe in astrology to use Nua?+

No. The positions Nua uses are real astronomy, calculated from the same tables professional astrologers work with. What those positions mean is a tradition thousands of years old, not a science, and Nua reads it that way: as a mirror for noticing your patterns, not a promise about the future.

• What happens to my birth data?+

It is encrypted and never sold. It does travel to a language model when part of your reading is written, and we would rather say that plainly than claim it never leaves the app.
